Following sucessful trials Blundell Production Equipment are now supplying Dundee Nitrogen Generators which have been specially designed for working with selective soldering machines and reflow ovens.
These new N2 generators provide a safe and reliable source of nitrogen on demand with purity levels of up to 99.995%. They are inexpensive to maintain and have low running costs. Installation is straightforward and all you need is mains power and a clean compressed air supply.
Considerable savings can be made in comparison to using bottled gas or cryo tanks of liquid nitrogen.

INDIA ACCELERATES
DNC have sold 3 units to their distributor in India in the last month and enquiries from this fast growing economy are increasing for varying types of units. We are about to launch an HP2 low cost 2 litre unit to accommodate demand for smaller units from India.

Following successful trials of our HF30R unit ITT Cannon (UK) moved quickly to purchase the solution and are now looking to implement the technology across other sites in Europe. In this application the nitrogen was used in heat treatment ovens as an inert gas and replaced bottled gas. A full cost saving analysis is available in our Case Study section.

Scottish Technology Showcase 2011
June turned out to be an extremely busy month on top of shipping another 3 units for soldering applications we exhibited at the SECC. General enquiry levels were good with two specific enquiries for new applications of major interest. One was for an electronic component packaging line and the other was for a powder coating facility where N2 Is used with the powder coating rather than air as it is cleaner and drier and produces a better finish. We will report a case study on the powder coating application in due course as it will be relevant to the industry sector.
The GEL speaker winner from the business card draw at the exhibition was FiFe Fabriations Limited.

DNC have agreed to sponsor Steve’s racehorses for a very small fee, he currently has Karaka Jack in training with David Nicholls and Dazzling Light in Training with Jim Goldie.
The horses will now have Dundee Nitrogen’s logo across the jockey’s chest, we should sell them the by product as it’s more Oxygen they normally need.

Repeated requests from Blundell Production Customers for our Nitrogen Generators to work with 6 bar of supplied air had resulted in the design, testing and launch of the HP30/60RB. The unit has an integral booster which, provided with sufficient flow, boosts the input air up to the required pressure to generate high purity nitrogen upto 99.995%.

Record Sales
With the gloomy economic forecasts we continue to hear about on the news it’s nice to see that manufacturing and product development appears to booming. In a sector that’s taken it’s knocks over the years and become a much smaller part of UK GDP our manufacturing sector can now boast a host of lean well managed companies that know what it takes to create tangible profit’s. Increasingly DNC are seeing strong growth in these sectors both in the UK and abroad and have shipped a record number of units and systems in November this year.
We have also attended an exhibition in Munich (see separate article) so have a good excuse for the month or so we have neglected news items for the website.
The installations during November included………….
An HF60 to our distributor Blundell Production to go on an Ebso SPA400 Selective Soldering application.
An HF60 to Pakistan for a food manufacturing application.
An HF30 to Edinburgh University for a Thermo Fischer Mass Spec.
2 Large systems to an undisclosed UK company using multiple generators in parallel and a pressure vessels to accommodate larger flows.
An HP2 (Indian Unit Only) to Sygene International in Bangalore.
